Promo Codes

Promo codes or promotion codes or sometimes they are called loyalty codes or even source codes are your way to save money at online stores.  Promo codes are available from almost every online retailer and can be either a specific dollar amount discount or a percentage off.  Either way, promo codes save you money.

How do you get promo codes?


1.  If you don't have one when making a purchase, to get one much of the time all you have to do is ask the merchant.  Get a promo code for a discount, for free shipping, or for free upgrade to your shipping.  Many sites gather coupon codes or you can get promotion codes by doing a Google search use the "name of retailer + coupon code."  There have been some scams in this arena. Remember: you should never have to pay for coupon codes.

When checking out enter the code in the “Promo Code” box to activate the discount or offer.

2.  You can always sign up for email promotions at store you frequent often.  I suggest creating a separate email address called "promo" or "code" or something you prefer using Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, whichever email account you want to use.  Use this same email address for all the merchants and stores you go frequent to simplify things.

3.  Follow your favorite retailers or "follow" them on Twitter and "friend" or "like" them on Facebook. Often their is a special incentive or discount and they reveal coupon codes.  You can always unsubscribe if it doesn't work out.
